EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

A meeting of several car club committee members was held on 6th January 2026 to address the current guidelines in relation to the car club defibrillator and first aid equipment.

 

It was agreed to appoint a “Defibrillator/First Aid Equipment Custodian” and this position to be included in the List of Car Club Office Bearers.

 

Car club member Ian Ward has accepted this position for the remainder of the 2025-2026 club year, and the position will need to be filled each car club year.

 

Should the Custodian be unable to attend a car club event, he/she will delegate this responsibility to another car club member during the period of absence.

 

The defibrillator operation will be checked monthly, and a diary note has been made to register the expiry dates of the defibrillator battery and pads.

 

Training will continue to be provided through the existing “Self Training Modules” which are accessible below, or from the car club monthly newsletter.

 

As a new initiative, videos will be selected from the modules and played at every monthly General Meeting.
